From the year 1878, Venchi was borne of the passions and sacrifices of founder Silviano Venchi in a small neighborhood in Vanchiglia, Turin. He experimented with making chocolate using two bronze cauldrons on which he spent his savings. But his efforts proved to be a success as he created the Nougatine, a sweet containing caramelized hazelnuts coated in dark chocolate, and the Venchi SpA, his own chocolate shop in Piedmont which earned the recognition of many. Until now, the same passion and aspirations have been poured into each chocolate made by Venchi with astute attention to detail. The experimental heart of creating more delicious innovations in chocolate also defines Venchi to this day.
